I first came across Yoga whilst in professional dance training and over the years I soon discovered it was my true calling to work in the community as a Yoga teacher. Fast forward 17 years and it has been my full time profession that has supported me both energetically and financially to live a life I love.

Teaching Yoga is one of the most rewarding experiences. It allows us to be part of a community, it brings us back to our bodies and our hearts, it requires us to see ourselves in others and to be truly responsible for our own direction in life.

Drawing upon my years of teaching experience I have worked together with BWY to create a course that strives to meet the needs of society today. I am passionate about making Yoga accessible to all and as a woman I believe that including women's health in Yoga teacher trainings is absolutely essential.

Virgina Wolf said, every woman should have money and a room of her own. It is my mission to support and empower women just like you to find their voice as a Yoga teacher and create the good in the world through the practice and teaching of Yoga.

I would highly recommend the course. Hana is really experienced and very knowledgeable teacher. What I found amazing was her ability to convey quite complex topics in a very accessible way. We covered so much including the practical aspects of becoming a teacher. Lots of helpful things that we don’t think of when becoming a teacher. Hana was a wonderful course tutor, she has so much knowledge to give. She has built herself up as a great Yoga teacher in London and getting to impart her experiences and knowledge to us was so helpful.

It was great to be amongst other Yoga lovers and people going through the same things together. It was wonderful to have these people to go through this journey together. It was a really supportive group and we all plan to stay in in touch.

Here is what you can expect from joining the British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training with Hana

Yoga Philosophy and Anatomy are huge and complex subjects! On this course I use my years of teaching experience to simplify and make these topics relatable and applicable to our day to day lives. I consider all learning styles in my delivery. If you have any special requirements in your learning I will do all I can to support you.

Unlike teacher trainings that have 50+ students at a time, this course is limited to a maximum of 18 students, which means I get to know and support you better. The course includes a minimum of 3 private one to one feedback sessions and I'm always available if you need more support.

Creating a non competitive, non dogmatic and supportive learning environment is of upmost importance to me. I encourage all students teachers to find their own voice and style. We all support and learn from each other within a safe, friendly and nurturing environment . Life long Yoga friends are often found on this journey!

I am worried about the time comitment how much time do I need to complete the course?

You would need to attend 80% of all the course dates. You would also need approximately 4 hours a week for homework and teaching practices. Most people who attend the course have full time jobs and families, so this is achievable for many.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am worried my yoga practice is not advanced enough to become a yoga teacher.

You will only learn to teach the postures you can do yourself and their modifications. Being a Yoga teacher really isn't about knowing how to do advanced yoga practices. It is about understanding people and how to make yoga accessible to them.

Am I too old or too young to become a Yoga teacher?

Absolutely not! You can become a great Yoga teacher at any age! BWY asks for student teachers on the course to be over 16 years of age, there is no maximum age limit. I have had student teachers on my course from early 20s-late 60s. Every individual will bring their own personality and life experiences into their Yoga teaching, age is never an obstacle.

I have an injury or a condition why effects my Yoga practice and might effect my learning. Is this course suitable?

In terms of the physical practice, modifications and alternatives will always be offered. In terms of learning on the course, please let me know and we will figure out a way to make this course accessible to you.

I am planning to have a baby soon, what would happen if I fall pregnant on the course?

This is not problem and surprisingly common in teacher trainings. During our last course 2 babies where born! We will simply work around your dates and offer extensions on homework and support you through the course.

What is your cancelation policy?

All fees are non refundable and non transferable. If you needed additional time to complete the homework after the end of the course a special considerations form can be completed to give you an extension on this.
